Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland Election Results 2023: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has won in the Northern Angami-II seat with over 17,000 votes against Congress' Seyievilie Sachu. Sachu polled merely 1,221 votes against Rio. Nagaland BJP chief Temjen Imna Along has won in the Alongtaki constituency with 9,274 votes and Hekhani Jakhalu also became the first woman MLA to be elected to the Nagaland Assembly. The BJP will form government in Tripura, CM Manik Saha said as the party's lead crossed the majority mark. Currently, the BJP is set to form government in Tripura and Nagaland. No party has got a majority in Meghalaya. Conrad Sangma's NPP is set to win 25 seats while BJP is likely to bag three. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has won from the Town Bordowali seat with 16,446 votes against Congress' Asish Kumar Saha (15,125 votes) and TMC's Ananta Banerjee (547 votes). In Nagaland, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party is likely to win 25 seats and its alliance partner has bagged 12. Together, they will cross the majority mark and form the government.

"Many political analysts are trying to understand the reason for the victory of the BJP. Some of our well-wishers want to know the reason. The reason is 'Triveni' (the combination of three streams)," PM Modi said on Thursday while addressing the party workers in Delhi.
PM Modi said that the earlier governments never discussed Northeastern poll results as they considered states in the Northeast as small and insignificant. He also credited the hard work done by BJP workers in the three northeast states for the good show. "Our party workers in the northeast work much, much harder than all of us here. They face many challenges," he said.
PM Modi mentioned Nagaland's first-ever woman MLA Hekani Jakhalu, who won from the Dimapur-III seat in the state, and said it was a proud moment for the state and women leaders. Jakhalu defeated Lok Janshakti Party's Azheto Zhimomi.
"Northeast is no longer far from Delhi and from our hearts. Today's poll results show people have faith in democracy," says PM Modi while addressing party workers at BJP HQ in Delhi after the assembly election results in Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland. He had earlier thanked people of Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura for supporting BJP.
While addressing supporters at the victory celebrations at BJP headquarters in New Delhi, BJP chief JP Nadda said that Narendra Modi is the first prime minister of India to bring northeastern states to the mainstream.
“Today is a historic day for Northeast India. Thanks to the people of Tripura for trusting BJP. This victory is the victory of development, which the BJP has given to Tripura under the leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi. Together we will move forward and build a prosperous Tripura," Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted.
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday congratulated BJP in Tripura for spectacular victory in the state elections. BJP has won its second ter, and has bagged a majority of 32 seats, followed by Tipra Motha with 13 seats. Meanwhile, Congress bagged 3 seats, and CPI(M) got 11.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has tweeted that BJP chief J P Nadda has said advised Meghalaya BJP unit to support the National People’s Party in forming the next government in Meghalaya.
“Adaraniya Sri @JPNadda ji, the national president of the @BJP4India has advised the state unit of BJP, Meghalaya to support the National people’s Party in forming the next government in Meghalaya. @SangmaConrad”.
After the counting on Thursday, none of the parties in Meghalaya got an absolute majority nor touched the halfway majority mark of 30 seats. The ruling NPP has been declared the winner on 19 seats, and is leading in 6 others, taking its overall count to 25. The BJP has won two seats and is ahead in another 3, Trinamool Congress has won four and is leading in one, the United Democratic Party has won 11 seats, and the Congress has bagged five.

Tripura results 2023: Ruling BJP has won a comfortable majority in Tripura. It has won 30 seats and is currently leading on 2. Pradyot Deb Barman's Tipra Motha has bagged 13 seats.
Meghalaya election results: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma's elder brother and three-time MLA James Pangsang K Sangma has lost the election to Rupa M Marak of the Trinamool Congress in the Dadenggre constituency. He lost the election by a narrow margin of just 18 votes.
Meghalaya results 2023: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has won from South Tura by 10,090 votes. He defeated his rival Bernard Marak of the BJP, who managed to secure 7,260 votes. Currently, the NPP is leading on 26 of 60 seats and is set to retain power in the hill state for a second consecutive term.
Meghalaya results: Conrad Sangma's NPP has won 14 seats and is leading on 11 while the BJP is ahead on 3 seats. Congress, which ruled the state for decades, has been reduced to a single digit. It has won 3 seats and is currently leading on 2.
Tripura results: The ruling BJP is set to get the majority on its own by winning 30-plus seats in the 60-member House. The party has won 23 seats and is currently leading on 9 seats. Tipra Motha Party has won 12 seats and is leading on 1, which will take the total tally to 13. Congress and the Left together expected to get 14 seats.
Meghalaya results: NPP state president WR Kharlukhi says he does not think there is any problem with the formation of the government. "I am sure that our party will form govt: WR Kharlukhi." In Meghalaya, NPP is currently leading on 24 seats, six less than the required number to form the government in the 60-member House.

Nagaland BJP chief Temjen Imna Along has won from the Alongtaki constituency with 9,274 votes and a vote share of 62.5 per cent, as per Election Commission of India (ECI).
Meghalaya BJP chief Ernest Mawrie lost against UDP's Paul Lyngdoh in West Shillong constituency. Mawrie managed to secure 3,771 votes whereas NPEP's Mohendro Rapsang secured 4,432 votes.
