States across the country have started relaxing lockdown restrictions as part of Unlock 4. Many states also have revised their quarantine and self-isolation guidelines to stem the spread of coronavirus.For international passengers, the institutional quarantine has been reduced to 7 days (which was 14 days earlier) along with 7 more days of home-isolation.Here are the revised quarantine rules for different states across the country.
Delhi
Unlike earlier, international passengers will now have to undergo 7 days of institutional quarantine at government a facility along with 7 more days of home isolation.
Also, they can submit RT-PCR test reports 96 hours prior to undertaking the journey in case they wish to exempt the quarantine process.Meanwhile, for domestic passengers, seven days of home quarantine will be applicable. Uttar Pradesh
For international passengers, again, seven days of institutional quarantine and an additional seven days of home quarantine.
For domestic passengers, it will be 14 days of home quarantine.Also, passengers exiting Uttar Pradesh within 7 days of arrival may not have to undergo further quarantine. Maharashtra
For international passengers, seven days of institutional quarantine followed by seven days of home quarantine will have to be followed mandatorily.
Home quarantine of 14 days is mandated for all domestic passengers.However, all domestic passengers exiting Mumbai within seven days of the arrival will be exempted from quarantine. Karnataka
Domestic travelers traveling from other states to Karnataka do not have to undergo the mandatory quarantine for 14 days. They don't even have to register themselves on the Seva Sindhu portal.
International passengers who are found asymptomatic have to undergo a mandatory home quarantine for 14 days. Symptomatic ones will be sent to a COVID health centre. Andhra Pradesh
All passengers, symptomatic and asymptomatic, from Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh will be sent to mandatory institutional quarantine for seven days.
If a person tests negative, he/she will be sent to home quarantine for seven more days. Passengers coming from other areas will be sent to 14 days of home quarantine. Tamil Nadu
There is a mandatory home quarantine for 14 days for domestic passengers. In case the individual develops symptoms such as fever, cough, and breathlessness during the quarantine period, they will have to visit a health facility.
Persons coming from other states or union territories will be tested and those COVID-19 positive and are symptomatic will be taken to the hospital for treatment. However, asymptomatic patients will be taken to a COVID care centre.Those visiting Tamil Nadu for business purposes and will return back within 72 hours of visiting the state, shall be exempted from quarantine norms.All the international passengers who have RT-PCR negative certificates and are asymptomatic will be allowed home quarantine for 14 days. Gujarat
Asymptomatic domestic travelers will not be quarantined. But international passengers will have to undergo seven days of institutional quarantine followed by home quarantine of seven more days.
In case travelers wish to exempt institutional quarantine, they can do so by submitting a negative RT-PCR test report, which, as mentioned already, is conducted 96 hours prior to the journey, on arrival. Goa
It's entirely different for Goa. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that passengers will no longer have to go for Covid-19 tests on arrival and those who are traveling need not carry an e-pass or provide a COVID negative certification. No isolation rules upon arrival.
Kerala
Home quarantine for passengers arriving in the state has been reduced to seven days from earlier 14 days of mandatory quarantine.
People traveling for business purposes, who will be staying for less than a week, shall be exempted.For domestic passengers, 14-day home quarantine is advised.
