The United States fell from its position as the top destination for workers for the first time in eight years, according to a global survey. The findings are according to a poll of 209,000 people done in 190 countries. Canada has topped the most desirable destinations for overseas workers followed by the U.S. and Australia. The survey was conducted by Boston Consulting Group and The Network between October and December 2020. CanadaCanada overtook the US as the most popular country for foreign workers to relocate in 2021, ticking U.S off the top spot. As per the report, Canada and Australia both have done "far better job" of pandemic management and are also seen as having better social systems and more open cultures than the US, the authors mentioned.

U.K.The United Kingdom may have been listed fourth in the top 10 ranking, but London, UK has grabbed the first spot in the top 10 cities for worker relocation. "The fame and reach of the British Commonwealth gives London an aura that helps it overcome geopolitical uncertainties, such as those surrounding Brexit that have dogged the UK as a whole in recent years," the report said.

JapanJapan grabs the fifth spot in the list of top 10 countries.
