Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland on Monday reported a 90.22 per cent jump in commercial vehicle sales in September, to 10,363 units.
The company had sold 5,448 units in the same month last year, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.
Domestic sales stood at 9,513 units in the reviewed month, against 4,809 units in the same month last year - up 97.82 per cent - the statement said.
Exports increased 33.02 per cent to 850 units during September, compared to 639 units in the year-ago period.
The company also reported a 99.08 per cent increase in total domestic sales of medium- and heavy-commercial vehicles to 9,474 units from 4,759 units in the same month last year.
