
Bajaj Auto on Monday reported a 21 per cent decline in motorcycle sales at 2,16,077 units in February 2015.
The company had sold 2,73,323 units in the year ago period.
The two-wheeler major said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that its exports declined by 20 per cent during the month to 1,12,909 units from 1,42,009 units in the corresponding year-ago period.
In the commercial vehicles category, Bajaj Auto's sales during the month stood at 27,242 units, down 32 per cent, as against 39,971 units in January 2014.
"The company's total vehicle sales last month stood at 2,43,319 units, down 22 per cent, as against 3,13,294 units in the same month a year earlier", the company added.
Shares of the company were traading at Rs 2074.75, down by 4.03 per cent or 87.05 points on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at 12:26 pm.
