
BMW India launched the diesel version of 6-Series Gran Coupe in New Delhi on Friday.
The new sedan will be available at all BMW dealerships across India as a completely built-up (CBU) unit.
The company has launched two models of the car in India: BMW 640d Eminence (priced at Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom) and BMW 640d Design Pure Experience priced at Rs 1.22 crore (ex-showroom).
The car has a twin-power turbo diesel engine which delivers an output of 313 hp. It goes from 0-100 km per hour in 5.4 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 250 km per hour.
According to the company, the eight-speed Steptronic transmission allows the car to achieve full power in any gear and thus adapts to individual driving styles. The driving experience control switch enables the driver to choose between different driving modes: Eco Pro, Comfort, Comfort+ and sport.
The car is equipped with fuel-saving, safe and dynamic driving technologies such as adaptive LED headlights, dynamic stability control, lightweight construction, auto start-stop, brake-energy regeneration and 50:50 weight distribution.
The new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is available in Alpine White (non-metallic paintwork), and nine metallic paintworks-black sapphire, cashmere silver, glacier silver, space grey, Jatoba, Melbourne red, Mediterranean Blue and mineral white.
