Hero MotoCorp plans to set up its fourth plant in Gujarat involving an investment of around Rs 1,200 crore, reports said.
The two-million-unit capacity plant would be set up in two phases and the company has already finalised a deal with the state government, reports added.
Besides the domestic market, the
two-wheeler company would also target the export markets.
"Within this month, I should be making the announcement for the new plant. It will get to those levels (as Haridwar plant's 2.5 million unit annual capacity), but will have modular capacities," reports quoted Managing Director & CEO of Hero MotoCorp Pawan Munjal as saying.
