
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Thursday announced the launch of CB Hornet 160R at Rs 79,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 160-CC motorcycle showcased at the 2015 Honda RevFest will pose a challenge to Suzuki Gixer, TVS Apache, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZ in India.
The firm has also launched an exclusive mobile app to facilitate online bookings for the CB Hornet 160R for a amount of Rs 5,000.
The bike is powered by a 162.71 cc engine, designed to deliver good low-end torque. The advanced engine also achieves a compression ratio of 10:1. It delivers a maximum net torque of 14.76 Nm @ 6500 rpm.
The bike has a 164 mm and fuel tank capacity of 12 litre. The self-start bike has five gears and reaches a maximum speed of 110 Kmph.
It has a combi brake system (CBS) which allows the rider to pull the throttle and enjoy the optimum speed without worrying about the brake operation.
The sports bike has a 140mm wide rear tyre which increases stability while the uniquely crafted 5-spoke split alloy wheels further add to its looks.
The CB Hornet 160R has a maintenance free and leakage proof MF battery. The bike also complies with the BS-IV regulation norms.
