In an effort to gain volumes in terms of sales, Japan-based car
manufacturing company Honda is planning to launch sedan version of
Brio hatchback in the country by 2013. Brio hatchback was launched in September last year and is gaining popularity.
The company reportedly aims to place Brio sedan a segment below its popular Honda City and price it lower than City too.
Carmakers in India bank upon on the idea of introducing sedans for their popular hatchbacks as it has proved to be a success for many companies.
According to reports, Brio Sedan will first be marketed in Thailand and India to follow by the fourth quarter.
