Mahindra & Mahindra (
M&M ) on Wednesday reported 44.17 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 874.48 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.
The company had posted net profit of Rs 606.54 crore for the corresponding period previous fiscal, Mahindra & Mahindra said in a filing to BSE.
Net sales of the company increased to Rs 9,241.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as against Rs 6,633.84 crore for the same quarter year ago.
Consolidated net profit of the company for the year ended March 31, 2012 stood at Rs 3,126.66 crore for as against Rs 3079.73 crore for the same period previous fiscal.
The company's net sales for FY12 rose to Rs 58,241.40 crore from Rs 36,009.65 crore for FY11.
