An office bearer of Maruti Employees Union was on Monday night suspended for allegedly slapping an officer in the factory's spare part division, a company official said here.
General Secretary of Maruti Employees Union Kuldeep Janghu was suspended after he allegedly slapped an officer on Monday afternoon.
"He was suspended at around 9:30 PM on Monday," a company spokesperson said.
Jhanghu, however, denied that he had slapped an officer.
He claimed that on Saturday an officer Sharad Kumar abused a casual worker Amod Kumar.
"Amod Kumar approached him and afterwards he and Sharad Kumar had a heated exchange of words over the issue", Jhanghu told PTI.
