
Union Minister for Transport Nitin Gadkari on Monday said the Centre would soon start the pod taxi project in Delhi and Haryana.
In the first phase of the project, the government plans to connect Dhaula kuan in Delhi to Maneser in Gurgaon. An announcement in this regard was made by Gadkari during his visit to Sirsa to lay the foundation stone of fourlane highway.
According to sources, Gadkari had taken up the issue in a high-level meeting with top officials of the MCG, Huda and Gurgaon civil administration in presence of state PWD minister Rao Narbir Singh in Delhi.
The officials were directed to check feasibility in the territories Gurgaon district and submit its report in time bound manner. The ministry has already held discussions with a company, which has agreed to invest money in the project.
