Air cargo traffic falls to 245 thousand tonnes in Feb

Domestic aircraft movement declined by 26.8 per cent in Feb 2021 on y-o-y basis as compared to -98.2 per cent in April 2020.  

Domestic passenger handled at airports declined 36 per cent in Feb 2021 on y-o-y as compared to decline of almost 100 per cent in April 2020 on y-o-y basis.

Domestic air cargo traffic fell by 6.56 per cent y-o-y to 99 thousand tonnes in February 2021.

International aircraft movement in April 2020 declined by 92 per cent as compared to April 2019. It further improved in the month of Feb 2021 and declined by 58.7 per cent on y-o-y basis.

International passengers handled by airport in the month of Feb declined by 73.5 per cent on y-o-y basis.  

International cargo traffic fell by 27.9 per cent y-o-y to 1,349 thousand tonnes during April-February 2021.
