In the sixth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, polling will be held in 14 constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Haryana, 8 each in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal, 7 in NCT of Delhi and 4 in Jharkhand.
In the sixth phase, there are 10.17 crore voters, out of which 5.42 crore are male, 4.75 crore voters are female and 3,281 voters are of third gender.
1,13,167 polling booths are set up across 7 states covering all 59 constituencies in Phase VI of the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
All 7 parliamentary constituencies in the national capital will vote in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019. In total, there are 1.43 crore voters, 164 contesting candidates and 13,819 polling booths in Delhi.
In the entire election process, there are 89.9 crore voters who will cast their vote from over 2,354 registered political parties represented by over 8,000 candidates to win their claim to 543 Lok Sabha seats. The 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in 7 phases.
The first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, which took place on April 11, witnessed a voter turnout of 69.50 per cent. A total of 91 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 18 states and 2 Union Territories went for polls in the first phase.
Polling for the second phase was held on April 18, 2019. Out of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, 95 constituencies, spread over 11 states and union territories, went to polls in the second phase. 69.44 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.
In the third phase, polls for a total of 117 seats across 13 states and 2 union territories took place. Voter turnout for the third phase of the general elections has been pegged at 68.40 per cent.
In the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019, 72 constituencies, spread over 9 states, went to polls. Total 65.51 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Polling for the fifth phase was held on April 18, 2019. Out of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, 51 constituencies, spread over 7 states and union territories, went to polls in the fifth phase. 62.56 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.
