A folio number is a unique number allotted to each mutual fund investor. Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) folios touched 3.47 crore in December 2020.
The contribution through SIP has risen sharply in the month of December 2020 to Rs 8,418 crore. SIP contribution in November 2020 stood at Rs 7,302 crore signifying a 15% MoM growth.
Equity funds continued a negative trend with net outflow of Rs 10,147 crore in December 2020.
In past 12 months, India saw FPI inflow of over $13 billion while all other emerging markets witnessed equity outflows.
The FII equity inflows was the highest in December at Rs 62,016 crore. Calendar year 2020 saw Rs 1,70,262 crore FII equity inflows.
