National Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) have analysed self-sworn affidavits of 539 out of 542 Winners in the Lok Sabha 2019 Elections. The voting in Vellore constituency was cancelled. The two remaining constituencies are reserved for the Anglo-Indian community by the president of India. 233 MPs (43 per cent) have criminal records while 159 MPs have declared serious criminal cases against them.

Out of the winning members of parliament, 475 or 88 per cent have declared assets in excess of Rs 1 crore.

As per the ADR report, the average assets of the winners in 2019 Lok Sabha elections is Rs 20.93 crore. Party-wise, winning candidates from YSRCP have the highest average assets of Rs 54.85 crore followed by Congress with Rs 38.71 crore, DMK with Rs 24.51 crore, BJP with Rs 14.52 crores and AITC with Rs 6.15 crore average assets of winning candidates.

As per the ADR report, the top 3 winning MPs are from Congress. The highest wealth of over Rs 660 crore belongs to Nakul Nath (son of Congress leader Kamal Nath). Followed by H Vasanthakumar with Rs 417 cores and D K Suresh having total assets of over Rs 338 crore.

The winning Member of Parliament with lowest wealth is Goddeti Madhavi. She owns assets worth over Rs 1 lakh. Madhavi, 26, is the youngest ever elected MP in India.

BJP has the highest number of winning MPs with declared criminal cases. A total of 116 winning candidate from BJP have declared criminal cases against them. Followed by Congress' 29, JD(U) with 13 MPs, SHS' 11, YSRCP and DMK with 10 candidates.

392 of the winning MPs have graduate or a higher degree. Only one MP is an illiterate while 128 winning MPs have completed schooling.

The representation of women in Lok Sabha has been rising consistently since the last three general elections. This year the women representation in the lower house has increased to 14 per cent as compared to over 11 per cent in 2014 and 2009 general elections.

194 (36%) winners have declared their age to be between 25 and 50 years while 343 (64%) winners have declared their age to be between 51 and 80 years. Two winners have declared they are more than 80 years old, as per the ADR report.

225 Members of Parliament have been re-elected in the 2019 elections. As per the ADR report, The average asset of these 225 re-elected MPs in 2019 is Rs 21.94 Crore. Between the Lok Sabha Elections of 2014 and 2019 their average assets have increased by Rs 4.87 crore. The average percentage increase in the wealth of these re-elected MPs is a staggering 29 per cent.
