What's Driving Markets Higher On Monday? Full Market Analysis And Top Sectors & Stocks

In today's episode of Business Today TV, anchor Shailendra Bhatnagar delves into the recent fluctuations in the Indian stock markets. Despite opening 200 points down in the pre-open session, both Nifty and Sensex rebounded during the opening trade. Nifty is trading at 22,478.50, up 81.30 points (0.36%), while Sensex stands at 74,117.75, an increase of 288.84 points (0.39%).

 

Sector-wise, Nifty Pharma and Healthcare lead with 1.5% gains, followed by Nifty Financial Services up 0.9%, and Nifty Bank mirroring this trend. Conversely, Nifty IT and FMCG sectors are down by 0.6% and 0.31%, respectively. This positive sentiment aligns with global markets, as indices like Nikkei 224 and Hang Seng have risen over 1%.

 

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth ₹792.90 crore, whereas Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) net bought shares totaling ₹1,723.82 crore on March 13.

1. Apollo Hospitals: The board has approved a ₹742.5 crore investment by Rasmeli Limited into Apollo Healthco Limited.

2. Zydus Life: Received USFDA approval for Eluxadoline Tablets with 180 days of exclusivity, targeting a $243.7 million market.

3. Maharashtra Seamless: Secured a ₹298 crore order for seamless pipes.

4. Ceigall India: Awarded a project worth ₹923 crore.

5. GSPL: Received approval for the Anjar-Palanpur pipeline expansion.

6. MTNL: Defaulted on principal and interest payments to banks.
