A life-sized statue of Sachin Tendulkar, the cricketing legend, was unveiled at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, coinciding with India’s World Cup match against Sri Lanka. The statue, which was revealed yesterday, is a remarkable piece of art that perfectly captures the essence of the legendary batsman, showcasing his signature and graceful over-the-top stroke. Strategically positioned next to the revered Sachin Tendulkar Stand, the statue symbolically connects the iconic cricketer with the venue where he crafted countless unforgettable memories. Earlier this year, the announcement of Tendulkar’s statue installation inside the stadium created a buzz among cricket enthusiasts and fans. As the inauguration approaches, the final touches are being added to this magnificent statue, honoring the maestro who celebrated his 50th birthday in April. The ceremony featured a prestigious lineup of dignitaries, including the esteemed presence of Tendulkar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
