While speaking on the ongoing disruption of Parliament, Amit Shah said that in any democratic country, the Parliament can not be run only by the government or only by the Opposition. "There has to be a conversation between the ruling dispensation and the Opposition in Parliament," he said. "Despite our efforts, there is no proposal for discussion from the Opposition's side. Now, they have got this new slogan that there is no freedom of speech in Parliament. Debates happen in Parliament on the basis of rules; it cannot happen as it happens on roads," Amit Shah said. When asked to respond to the Adani Group row, Amit Shah said that the Supreme Court had already taken cognisance of the matter and formed a probe committee. "If anyone has proof, he or she should submit it before the committee. No one should be spared if something wrong has happened and everyone should trust the judicial process. Even then, if you think the report is not correct, then one should raise the matter or protest against it," Amit Shah said.
