The water crisis in Bengaluru continues to worsen as India's Silicon Valley faces one of the most severe water shortages in its history. Residential societies in the city are now grappling with acute water scarcity, prompting many to issue notifications to residents. The government has mandated that all private water tankers register before March 7th as citizens increasingly seek assistance from authorities amid the deteriorating situation. In response, Karnataka's Chief Minister conducted a video conference with ministers and senior officials to address the drinking water crisis. Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar chaired a crucial meeting on Monday, revealing that 50 percent of borewells in Bengaluru have dried up. He further stated that the government plans to regulate water tanker prices. Meanwhile, the BJP has criticized the Siddaramaiah government, attributing Bengaluru's water crisis to the allocation of more water to Tamil Nadu, a situation they claim did not occur under their administration.
