Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced a hike in the minimum wages for workers in Delhi, with unskilled workers now earning Rs 18,066, semi-skilled workers Rs 19,929, and skilled workers Rs 21,917 per month. She emphasized that, under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, Delhi has achieved the highest minimum wages in the country, calling it a historic step to prevent the exploitation of the poor. Atishi criticized the BJP for opposing wage increases in Delhi and accused BJP-ruled states of offering significantly lower wages, often half of what is paid in Delhi. She highlighted the Delhi government's commitment to accountability and serving its citizens with integrity, noting that these wage hikes are a reflection of that responsibility.
