Devendra Fadnavis was again at his subtle best, mocking the critics for assigning a negative connotation to the term ‘Hindu Growth Rate’. Speaking at the World Hindu Economic Forum in Mumbai, the newly elected Maharashtra Chief Minister said India has redefined the term and now it is the ‘Hindu Growth Rate’ which is setting the pace for the global growth rate. He said the world had doubted India’s ability to progress with its large population, but India under the leadership, first of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and now under Narendra Modi had shown it is possible.
