Ease My Trip Co-Founder On Acquisitions & Airfares

India's summer travel season has seen an unusual spike in its airfares. One of the reasons for this is Go First's bankruptcy plea and suspension of its flights, which impacted the demand and supply curves of the sector. Besides this, it is the capacity constraints that have contributed to the increase in prices. Business Today Television speaks with Prashant Pitti, co-founder of online travel portal Ease My Trip on travel trends and post-summer travel demand. Prashant shares that the airfares are expected to stabilise in September and October due to capacity addition and the travel demand trajectory. He also shares its recent acquisition of a 51 per cent stake in Guideline Travels Holidays India Private Ltd., Dook Travels Private Ltd., and Tripshope Travel Technologies Private Ltd.
