Elon Musk’s great plan to put an end to the divide between peasants and lords on Twitter has blown up royally in his face. After taking over Twitter, Musk started selling the verified badge to everyone for $8, with no other eligibility criteria and it has become a tool used by scamsters to fool the public. And this has started tons of impersonation, financial fraud, cyberbullying, cybercrimes, etc. The platform is witnessing a rise in the number of fake impersonator accounts that often indulge in fraud. Incidents involving the impersonation of public figures have become a common scene. With Scamsters impersonating Elon Musk himself and started promoting cryptocurrency scams.
