He highlighted India's remarkable progress in green energy, including fulfilling Paris Agreement commitments nine years ahead of schedule. Modi underscored India's achievements in expanding non-fossil fuel and solar energy capacities and introduced the National Green Hydrogen Mission launched in 2023. This mission aims to position India as a global leader in green hydrogen production, utilization, and export. Modi stressed the potential of green hydrogen in decarbonizing challenging sectors and acting as a renewable energy storage solution. He called for global cooperation to accelerate green hydrogen innovations, build infrastructure, and develop a green jobs ecosystem, emphasizing the need for international partnerships to address climate change and energy transition effectively.
