The award ceremony, held in Milan, Italy, celebrates India's significant contributions to lunar exploration and its growing prominence in the global space community. Chandrayaan-3's historic landing near the Moon's South Pole on August 23, 2023, marked India as the first nation to achieve this feat, placing it in an elite group of countries capable of lunar landings.
