“I Work Really Hard To First Crack A Solid Plotline”: Mayank Sharma, Director

Mayank Sharma is the brain behind Breathe. With him, Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh, and Saiyami Kher, the star cast of Breathe into the Shadows Season 2, made a stylish appearance at the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2022 Day 1 on November 4. The actors, during the session titled ‘Breathing new life into the crime thriller’, spoke at length about their upcoming series, OTT platforms, and more. He said, "It is such an immersive experience hence we need to create intriguing characters which are emotionally strong." Director Mayank Sharma said, "The motives behind those characters are so personal. That sets it apart rather than the technique of creating of a thriller. For a good thriller, you need good cinematography, sound design, etc. It is such an immersive experience, hence we need to create intriguing characters which are emotionally strong. You have to live with that character for at least 150 minutes, episode by episode. I worked hard to crack a solid plot line. It should hold your attention within the very first minute. We wanted to have a different approach to this season and make it more cinematic. Every episode is like a mini film."
