IAS Probationer Puja Khedkar's Future In Jeopardy Amid Allegations Of Fraud And Irregularities

IAS probationer Puja Khedkar has been shunted out of Maharashtra, with the state government relieving her of all duties and cancelling her IAS training. She must report back to the Mussoorie IAS academy by July 23. This action follows the surfacing of numerous irregularities in her case, where she is accused of being at the center of a complex scam involving forged medical records, multiple name changes, and age manipulation. Khedkar allegedly used multiple addresses to obtain various disability certificates from different hospitals between 2019 and 2021, including a visually impaired certificate, a mental illness certificate, and a locomotor disability certificate. However, a 2007 medical certificate for her MBBS admission shows no mention of any disability. Two separate Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) orders highlight discrepancies in her age and name over the years. Despite having obtained a third medical certificate claiming a 7% permanent locomotor disability, Khedkar maintains her innocence, labeling the accusations as a media trial. With the investigation ongoing, the authorities are under pressure to uncover the truth, leaving Khedkar's future in the Civil Services uncertain.
