India has just made a monumental leap in strengthening its naval force with the induction of three cutting-edge, homegrown vessels: INS Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer. Commissioned at the Mumbai naval dockyard by Prime Minister Modi, these frontline ships represent a giant stride in India’s maritime capabilities. INS Surat, a powerful destroyer, joins the force equipped with BrahMos missiles, while INS Nilgiri, a stealth frigate, leads a new class of ships. INS Vaghsheer, a Scorpene-class submarine, boosts the Navy's undersea strength. With growing maritime threats, these vessels enhance India’s strategic presence, especially in the Indian Ocean.
