J&K Poll: ₹25 Lakh Health Insurance, 1 Lakh Jobs, ₹3,000 For Women Congress's Guarantees For J&K

Addressing a rally in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge unveiled a series of promises aimed at empowering the people of the region. These include a monthly financial support of Rs. 3,000 to female heads of families, the creation of 1 lakh new government jobs, reopening of 4,400 government schools, distribution of 11 kg rice per family member, and a health insurance cover of Rs. 25 lakh. Additionally, women are set to benefit from interest-free loans up to Rs. 5 lakh. Congress and National Conference have formed a pre-poll alliance for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir elections. Jammu and Kashmir is voting for its 90-member assembly in three phases. While the first phase of voting is scheduled on September 18, the other two round will be held on September 25 and October 1.The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
