The Tata-SIA joint venture airline Vistara yesterday had to cancel nearly 50 flights, with more than 150 flights across its network experiencing significant delays. Additionally, the airline has disclosed plans to scale back its flight operations and utilize wide-body aircraft on domestic routes to address the backlog of affected passengers. This could directly impact the airfares across the sector. Industry sources tell Business Today Television that there could be a major impact on the airfares if the disruptions continue for long.
