Monsoon is wreaking havoc in various parts of India, causing widespread destruction and chaos. In Maharashtra, five people, including four children, drowned at Bhushi Dam in Lonavala after heavy rains caused the dam to overflow; the search for three missing individuals continues. In Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, a massive avalanche over Gandhi Sarovar was captured on video, which went viral on social media; fortunately, no casualties have been reported. Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is experiencing severe monsoon mayhem with torrential rainfall leading to flooded streets, submerged vehicles, and waterlogged homes. In Surat, Gujarat, CCTV footage shows an electric pole falling on an auto rickshaw amid the rainfall. Patna, Bihar, is in a flood-like situation after hours of relentless downpour, with residents wading through knee-deep water. In Karnal, Haryana, a video showing roadwork being carried out in the rain sparked concerns about the quality of construction, leading to a temporary halt in the work. Lastly, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, a car got stuck in a pothole following minimal rain, raising further concerns about the poor condition of roads. These incidents highlight the extensive damage and disruption caused by the monsoon across the country.
