A 9.88-acre sea-facing property in Vizag, worth over 450 crores, has ignited a political firestorm in Andhra Pradesh, a state already grappling with a fund crunch. TDP has put allegations that this opulent white mansion, built by former CM Jagan, includes seven building blocks featuring presidential suites, banquet halls, deluxe suites, conference halls, a recreational center, business center, restaurant, lounge, washrooms, and parking. Initially proposed at 240 crores, costs ballooned to 484 crores due to extravagant additions like a 40 lakh bathtub, high-end toilet fittings, luxurious furniture, a spa room, and marble decor. India Today has obtained documents and images highlighting the scale of this lavish construction. Andhra minister Nara Lokesh and Jagan's sister, YS Sharmila, have demanded an investigation into this expenditure, accusing Jagan of misusing public funds. Meanwhile, the YSRCP maintains that the mansion is a government asset. As the political tussle continues, the mansion's keys are now with the TDP, leaving the future of 'Jagan Mahal' uncertain.
