While addressing the Indian community in Warsaw, Poland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of the Jam Saheb Memorial Youth Exchange programme, a new initiative aimed at strengthening cultural ties between India and Poland. Under this programme, 20 Polish youths will be invited annually to visit India, offering them an opportunity to experience Indian culture, heritage, and the country's diverse traditions. This announcement reflects India's commitment to fostering deeper connections with Poland, particularly among the younger generation. Earlier in his visit, PM Modi paid homage at the 'Good Maharaja Square' in Warsaw, a monument dedicated to the late Maharaja of Jamnagar. The Maharaja is remembered for his kindness and humanitarian efforts during World War II, when he provided refuge to hundreds of Polish children displaced by the war. PM Modi's visit to the memorial was a poignant reminder of the historic bonds between India and Poland, further emphasizing the significance of the newly announced youth exchange programme in continuing this legacy of friendship and cooperation.
