Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a high-profile roundtable with the CEOs of major American technology companies during his visit to New York, marking a significant step in strengthening US-India collaboration in critical tech sectors. The event, held at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel, brought together 15 CEOs from leading firms such as Google, represented by Sundar Pichai, and Adobe, represented by Shantanu Narayen. Key discussions focused on fostering partnerships in cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and semiconductors. Modi emphasized India’s rapid growth trajectory and the vast opportunities available for collaboration and innovation, particularly under the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET), a central pillar of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. The Prime Minister underscored India’s goal to become the world’s third-largest economy, encouraging the CEOs to explore investment opportunities. Modi’s interactions also highlighted his vision for leveraging technology to fuel India’s development. Earlier that day, he addressed the Indian diaspora in New York, following his participation in the Quad Leaders’ Summit with US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, further solidifying India’s strategic ties with the US.
