PM Narendra Modi’s Love For The Wildlife: From Kaziranga To The Gir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s deep connection with nature and wildlife is once again in focus. From riding an elephant in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park to rehabilitating cheetahs at Kuno and feeding peacocks at his residence, his passion for conservation is undeniable. In March 2024, PM Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister in nearly seven decades to visit Kaziranga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He embarked on an elephant and jeep safari, taking in the park’s breath-taking natural beauty. His commitment to wildlife extends beyond visits—on his 72nd birthday in 2022, he led the historic reintroduction of cheetahs in India, bringing the majestic species back after 70 years of extinction. Now, on March 2, he visited Anant Ambani’s animal rescue centre at Vantara in Jamnagar and is all set to visit Gir National Park, adding another chapter to his journey into the wild. Known for his appearance on Man vs. Wild with Bear Grylls at Jim Corbett National Park, PM Modi continues to blend adventure with conservation. Stay tuned as the Prime Minister gears up for an unforgettable encounter with the Asiatic lions of Gir.
