Tax authorities are assessing how they could reduce the compliance burden associated with the proposed 20 per cent tax collected at source on such transactions. A finance ministry source told Business Today TV said that the big issue is the difficulty in identifying the nature of the transaction and distinguishing it for tax treatment purposes.
