RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani Targets All India 5G By December 2023

Mukesh Ambani proudly reveals Reliance Jio's transformative journey over the past 7 years, aiming to shape India into a leading digital society. Acting as a catalyst for the nation's digital evolution, Jio's impact has expanded beyond India's borders. Commencing 5G deployment in October, Jio has impressively covered over 96% of census towns in a mere 9 months, with a nationwide reach anticipated by December '23. Their 5G rollout pace has set a global record. With approximately 85% of India's operational 5G cells under Jio, they're consistently adding a 5G cell to their network every 10 seconds, aiming to reach almost 1 million 5G cells by year-end. Mukesh Further adds Jio has seen a surge in consumption with the average user now consuming over 25 GB every month. This translates to monthly data traffic of 1100 crore GBs, representing a 45% year-on-year growth.
