Sena UBT Chief Uddhav Thackeray Vows To Scrap Adani's Dharavi Project If Returned To Power

In an exclusive interview with India Today's Sahil Joshi, Uddhav Thackeray, Sena (UBT) Chief, voiced strong opposition to Adani’s Dharavi redevelopment project. When asked why he is so critical of Adani, Uddhav questioned the rationale behind supporting the project, asserting, "Kyu de sath, karan kya hai?" Thackeray refuted allegations that the tender was approved during his tenure, calling it "completely false." He clarified that his government had canceled the tender because the identity of the investor remained undisclosed, raising concerns. “The tender was reissued after my government fell,” he added. While supporting the redevelopment of Dharavi, Thackeray expressed disapproval of the current approach, vowing to revoke Adani’s project if given the chance.
