Tit-For-Tat Move By China Restricts Rare Minerals Required In Chips

Hi-tech industries are staring at a possibility of a fresh chip shortage with geo-political restrictions challenging not only expansion plans but semi-conductor availability as well. In a tit-for-tat move, China has restricted exports of two minerals critical to chips and radar systems as a counter to increased controls by the US and Netherlands on sales of chip-making equipment.
