UP CM Yogi Adityanath Announces ₹1 Lakh Marriage Aid & Scooters For Meritorious Daughters

Under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is introducing the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, which will provide ₹25,000 one-time assistance to 20 lakh daughters. "A daughter is a treasure, and she deserves the opportunity to study and grow. The government is working for her," said the Chief Minister.

So far, through the Mukhyamantri Samajik Vivah Yojana, 4 lakh daughters have benefited. In the first phase of the scheme, ₹15,000 was announced, which was later increased to ₹25,000, and now, starting from April, it will be raised to ₹1 lakh for the marriage of daughters.

Additionally, the government is planning to provide scooters to meritorious daughters who pass board exams. This is part of the ongoing efforts to support and empower girls in the state
