Yogi Adityanath At SEMICON India 2024: UP's Leadership In Electronics & Semiconductors

At the inauguration of SEMICON India 2024 in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state’s significant advancements in the technology sector. He proudly noted that Uttar Pradesh now accounts for 55% of India's mobile manufacturing and 50% of mobile component production. The state has become a leading hub for consumer electronics, exemplified by Samsung India’s establishment of a display unit plant in Noida. Additionally, UP has positioned itself as a prominent center for data centers. Adityanath emphasized Uttar Pradesh's ambition to become a global semiconductor design engineering hub, driving innovation across these critical industries. He also highlighted the state's accomplishments in enhancing the IT sector, officially designating it as an industry, and its recognition as a top achiever in "ease of doing business." The Chief Minister attributed these achievements to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, who has focused on advancing the IT sector, semiconductor industry, data centers, and electronic manufacturing, further solidifying Uttar Pradesh’s role as a key player in these fields.
