Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced after a key meeting with Export Promotion Councils that the India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is progressing rapidly towards completion. With legal scrutiny nearing its end, the agreement will be submitted to the European Parliament following their summer recess. Goyal expressed confidence that the FTA will come into effect by early next year, unlocking vast opportunities for Indian goods and services exports. This trade deal serves as a crucial pillar in powering India's economic journey from a $4 trillion economy today toward a $30 trillion Viksit Bharat by 2047.
