The country's largest two-wheeler maker
Hero Honda on Wednesday said it has
raised the prices of its models in the range of Rs 500- Rs 1500 to offset the rising input costs.
"To partially off-set the rising
input costs , we have increased prices of our
models in the range of Rs 500 to Rs 1,500," a company spokesperson said.
He further said: "We have always taken a long-term view on pricing, given its strategic nature. Hence, we had consciously held back price increase on most of our products despite the rising input costs and hardening commodity prices."
The company said the lowest raise has been on models in the entry segment, while Karizma and ZMR have the highest increase of Rs 1,500.
