Private sector lender ICICI Bank reported a 77.5 per cent jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,039 crore for the quarter ended December 30, 2010.
The bank had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,149 crore for the same quarter last fiscal, ICICI said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the bank on a consolidated basis increased to Rs 15,415.8 crore during the quarter, compared to Rs 14,176.8 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, it said.
Shares of ICICI Bank were trading at Rs 1,083 apiece on the BSE today, up 1.6 per cent from the previous close.
