Union Budget 2014-15: Focus on skill development encouraging, says Vivek Nath

Business Today spoke to Towers Watson India MD Vivek Nath on what he thinks about Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's Budget for 2014-15 -

Creating jobs is only one part of the equation for employment in developing India - workers must also have the skills to perform them. With over 12 million youth joining the workforce each year, bridging the skill gap is a critical issue facing the nation.

The Rs 100 crore allocated for a start-up programme for rural youth is another move in the right direction that will encourage home-bred innovation as well as create more jobs.
