
FMCG firm Emami on Wednesday reported a 23.92 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 87.75 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015, against Rs 70.81 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
"Net sales of the company rose to Rs 589.87 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal, up 22.44 per cent against Rs 481.73 crore during June quarter of 2014-15 fiscal", Emami said in a Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) filing.
However, shares of the company were trading at Rs 1327.50 apiece on the BSE, down 0.01 per cent from their previous close at 12:01 pm.
