Now, Tata Housing to sell properties on Amazon India

Tata Housing, on Monday announced a partnership with Amazon India to sell luxury properties across four Indian cities online.

The real-estate arm of the Tata Group, Tata Housing, on Monday announced a partnership with Amazon India to sell luxury properties across four Indian cities online.

"Through this collaboration, the world's most desirable homes and India's biggest online store are teaming up together to announce a home offer like never before," Tata Housing said in a press release.

"Now, customers can purchase a Tata Housing apartment at specially selected properties across India, namely Prive (Lonavala), Aquila Heights (Bengaluru), Amantra (Kalyan - Mumbai), Eden Court (Kolkata) and Primanti and Raisina Residency (Gurgaon)," the company added.

Besides apartments, Tata Housing would also offer home furnishing and improvement products of up to Rs 27 lakh on the platform.

"Through this association, we are excited to create an end-to-end value proposition for our customers, as they book a Tata Housing apartment with a click of a button and transform it into a home with products from Amazon.in," Brotin Banerjee, MD and CEO, Tata Housing said.

This is not the first time that Tata Housing is selling properties online. In 2015, the property developer had tied up with Facebook to sell properties via social media, while in 2013 it had participated in Google's Great Online Shopping Festival to sell its luxury project in Bengaluru and seven other locations across India. Another realty major, DLF, too had tied up with Snapdeal last year to sell flats online.

Tata Housing so far has sold over 2,000 apartments through online platform in the past two years.
