Unemployment rate highest since Dec 2020

Joblessness has risen to 8% in April 2021 amid the second wave of pandemic from 6.5% in March 2021. During the first wave,  unemployment rate reached historic level of 23.5% (April 2020) as companies resorted to mass layoffs and lockdown hampered economic activity.
