
Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has expanded its product portfolio in the country with the launch of new generation sports utility vehicle (SUV), Sante Fe at the Auto Expo 2014.
The SUV is priced between Rs 26.3 lakh and Rs 29.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Sante Fe comes with various features, including six airbags, emergency fastening device, flex steer system, among others.
The vehicle, which is powered by a 2.2 litre engine would come in three variants priced at Rs 26.3 lakh, Rs 27.1 lakh and Rs 29.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
"The third generation Sante Fe is a world-class product and will set new benchmark in India's SUV segment," HMIL Managing Director and CEO BS Seo told reporters here.
HMIL is the second largest car maker in the country, after Maruti Suzuki.
It is looking at expanding its product portfolio to boost sales in India. The South Korean firm had on Tuesday unveiled "Xcent", its first compact sedan in India, which will be available from next month onwards.
Compact sedans and compact SUVs are the fast growing segments in the 2.7 million Indian passenger car market.
